We have a network of colleagues working in the biosciences who collaborate on typing within our country, and as needed, we contact global experts for joint management. Occasionally, we send patients to be evaluated in Pavia or at the Mayo Clinic.

Other therapeutic services

Our multidisciplinary team can coordinate real-time decisions regarding combined therapies, such as organ replacement (transplant or dialysis) with chemotherapy, and double transplants (heart and kidney or liver and kidney). We have intensive care units experienced in managing critically ill patients with cardiac amyloidosis and dysautonomia. The hospital has a home care service for patients with the hospital's health system. The geriatrics service also works to support elderly patients with amyloidosis and coordinate their care.
